The 3×3 format also offers a fast and exciting style of basketball that encourages players to make quick decisions, communicate effectively and work closely with their teammates.
For schools with promising basketball players, the tournament offers an opportunity to expose students to organised competition while encouraging them to take their sporting abilities more seriously.
Boys and Girls Are Welcome
One of the key features of the 2nd Edition is the inclusion of both boys and girls. This creates an opportunity for young male and female athletes to participate in a structured basketball competition and represent their schools.
Participation in school sports can also help students develop confidence and build friendships. For some players, a school tournament may become the beginning of a longer journey in competitive basketball.
The organisers are therefore inviting all secondary schools in Oyo State to take advantage of the opportunity and register their teams early.
Prizes and Trophies Await Winners
The tournament will feature prizes and trophies, adding another level of excitement and motivation for participating teams.
While winning is an important part of competitive sports, the tournament also provides students with the opportunity to learn from competition, experience teamwork and understand the value of preparation and commitment.
With limited slots available, schools interested in participating are encouraged to complete their registration early to secure their places.
Venue
The tournament will take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, one of the major sporting venues in Oyo State.
Hosting the competition at a recognised sporting venue gives participating students the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of organised sports and compete in an environment that celebrates athletic talent.
Parents, teachers, school administrators, basketball supporters and sports lovers can also look forward to an exciting display of youthful energy and basketball talent.
