Ibadan, Nigeria – Hoop Dreams Nigeria is proud to announce that its Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Life Skills Coach Damola Awosika, has been appointed as one of the Camp Directors for the Aminu Good Works Foundation (AGWF) 2026 Nigeria Basketball Combine and 10th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled to hold in Ibadan from August 7–9, 2026, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
The appointment represents another significant milestone for Hoop Dreams Nigeria, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to developing young people through basketball, education, leadership, and character formation.
Founded by former NBA star Al-Farouq Aminu, the Aminu Good Works Foundation has spent the past decade creating life-changing opportunities for young Nigerians. Its annual basketball combine has become one of the country’s leading youth development platforms, identifying talented student-athletes while equipping them with essential life skills for success beyond the basketball court.
As one of the Ibadan Camp Directors, Life Skills Coach Damola Awosika will play a key role in shaping the overall camp experience, working alongside an experienced coaching team to ensure participants receive not only elite basketball instruction but also valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, teamwork, integrity, and personal development.
Speaking on the appointment, Coach Damola Awosika expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

The Ibadan Combine will welcome approximately 150 student-athletes, comprising 100 boys and 50 girls selected from across the region. Participants will undergo elite basketball training, athletic evaluations, leadership development, mentorship, and life skills sessions designed to prepare them for opportunities both on and off the court.
For Hoop Dreams Nigeria, this collaboration reflects a shared vision with the Aminu Good Works Foundation—using basketball as a platform to inspire excellence, unlock potential, and create pathways to higher education, professional careers, and responsible citizenship.
The organisation also commended the Aminu Good Works Foundation for a decade of impactful service to youth development and congratulated Al-Farouq Aminu and the entire AGWF team on reaching their tenth anniversary.
